Who am I?
I am Mr Tan Liep Ming and I have taught in MOE schools since 1998.
I had mentored pupils, helping them to achieve their potential in the PSLE, “O” levels and “A” Levels examinations. Results are varied but the ones who worked hard achieved their aim. One who just passed their PSLE Chinese language in primary 4 and 5, Passed their PSLE with a C, three got B in PSLE. This proved that my methodology works. But be warned as this is not an easy path, and you or your child will be challenged, disappointed.
I think Parental involvement and pupil’s commitment is vital to the child’s success, as ACTIONS are needed to be successful.
In conclusion, the fruits are sweet! your child Chinese results will pull up the overall results! Below is a poem for those who chose to take the road not taken……
The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Hi.
Do you have word lists and examples of usage of words for other levels ?
No, which levels do you think you would need help with.
Yes the p3 and p4 level word list is in the process of writing at the time of writing. thank you for your comments.
Hi Mr Tan, do u teach P5 chinese tuition?
If yes, may I know if is in group or individual? No of hrs? Location at? Fees per mth? Mode of teaching? Contents covered? Kindly advise. Thank you
I do teach Chinese tuition but its limited to a few students who are determined to score in Chinese. As I have limited time and energy, I am not anxious to add more students. Their topic will be according to their abilities, one p3 girl last year who can score 100% was taught p4 staff like p4 composition tactics (not picture composition) and more idioms and then she was selected to join p4 HCL. Thank you.
