Paper 2 is a complex paper for PSLE Chinese. I look at paper 2 like a car, the driver seat is the section A (50/90) and in the passager seat is section B comprehension (40/90).
Paper 2
Section A 50 easy to study, good vocabulary helps a lot.
Section B 40 hard to study, need to know how to read and understand passage and need to analyse questions.
So I encourage those who want a good grade for paper 2 to focus on paper 2 section A first, study the word list well and you would lay a good foundation for paper section B.
Most who did not pass paper 2 is because their vocabulary is limited so they are taking a chance with all the 25 questions! and the win rate is just 25%.
Those who need a boost to AL2 needs to read and analyze passages in paper 2 section B and they need to recognize the words first, then know the meaning and usage of the word too.
Therefore vocabulary is the foundation for paper 2. full stop.
